Bio-Morphic Series
The bio-morphic series explores the relationship between the figure and it’s connection with textural elements. Ambiguous figures and organic structures combine in a sensual color palette to form nebulous primordial beings trapped between a scientific and spiritual world.
This series integrates photographic digital output with traditional color printing. Inkjet transparencies are adhered to acrylic sheets and contact printed with color negatives to produce a unique photogram. The bio-morphic silhouette seemingly floats in a viscous membrane to imply creation and rebirth. Texture serves to ground the figures in nature while the color bathes the figure in a supernatural element that suggests an internal metamorphosis.
